In memory of Gene Wilder, the 1974 Mel Brooks’ classic Blazing Saddles will be showing at the Terrace Theater on James Island for one week only.

Showtimes: Saturday, September 3 – Thursday, September 8  |  4:15 p.m.  |  9:25 p.m.

Blazing Saddles is a satirical Western comedy starring Wilder and Cleavon Little. The film satirizes the racism obscured by myth-making Hollywood accounts of the American West, with the hero being a black sheriff in an all-white town. Co-written and directed by Mel Brooks, the film was nominated for three Academy Awards and is ranked No. 6 on the American Film Institute’s 100 Years, 100 Laughs list.

Terrace Theater is located in Meyer Park Plaza Shopping Center at 1956 Maybank Hwy, Charleston, SC.
