The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry (CML) invites all kids and families of the Lowcountry to the 12th Annual Free FAM JAM Festival on Saturday, September 17 from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Marion Square in partnership with the City of Charleston Farmers Market.

CML’s FAM JAM festival empowers children and their families with the knowledge that PLAY is fundamental for children to learn about and interact with their world and gain the mental, physical and social skills necessary to succeed in their adult lives. Families have the opportunity to take part in a series of fun-filled, outdoor activities and fitness demonstrations, from learning kung fu with East West Health Arts Center and participating in SNAG Golf with First Tee of Charleston to building in CML’s own Imagination Playground and scaling a climbing wall.

Activity stations will be hosted by the Museum’s tri-county community partners, including the Charleston RiverDogs, InTown.com, Ripple Conscious Discipline, Moments of Magic Travel, Lowcountry Parent, CodeON, Louie’s Kids, Loblolly Adventures, the SC Aquarium and more!

Emcees Christine Kohler and Rob Fowler of WCBD News 2 and Bryan Mahanes of Other Brother Entertainment will engage the crowd and introduce entertainers. Families will jam to live music, including performances by Electric Company, The Dirty Birds and Peace Love Hip Hop. Local community partners will lead children and their grown-ups in bubblerobics, dance and more, and families can explore the Charleston Farmers Market, too.

Admission to the event is FREE, and each family in attendance at FAM JAM will also receive FREE admission to the Children’s Museum all day. For more information, visit CML’s website at exploreCML.org.
