The Sandhust Civic Association is a group of neighbors who live near Northbridge Park.  They do a monthly litter pickup at the park and along Sam Rittenberg Boulevard. Usually done on the first Saturday of each month, it was moved to Saturday, September 10 due to the effects of Tropical Storm Hermine.  Orange vests, gloves, mechanical pickup devices, and trash bags are provided.  These neighbors have quite the task ahead of them with not only the usual litter but debris blown in from the storm.

Northbridge Park is the gateway to Charleston from I-26.  It’s the first thing that many tourists see as they drive over the Ashley River.  Residents from surrounding neighborhoods are encouraged to participate.
