Five Charleston County citizen boards have vacancies.  The applications to fill the vacancies are due Friday, February 10.  The vacancies include:

Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals.  The board rules on matters involving professional contracting licenses.  There are vacancies for one civil engineer, one architect, one structural engineer and one licensed mechanical contractor.  It convenes on an as-needed basis.

Disabilities and Special Needs Board (three vacancies).  The board addresses issues for disabled Charleston County residents.  It meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 5:30 pm.

Procurement Appeals Board (four vacancies).  The board meets when vendors contest the awarding of county government contracts.

Tri-County LINK Board of Directors (two vacancies).  This Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester county develops rural transportation plans.

Weed and Trash Abatement Hearing Board (one vacancy).  The board hears appeals from citizens on code enforcement actions for the county Weed and Trash Abatement ordinance for the unincorporated regions of Charleston County.
