Many people are unaware that they are eligible to vote early. All three Charleston County early voting stations are open from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday – Friday until Friday , November 4. The Azalea station will be open Monday, November 7. Early voting also is available Saturday, October 29 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm. These stations are Seacoast Church – West Ashley Campus (2049 Savannah Highway), Church of Christ on 3950 Azalea Drive in North Charleston, and Seacoast Church – Mt. Pleasant Campus (750 Long Point Road). All three locations have electronic machines.

Eligibility requirements for early and absentee voting include being 65 or older, plans to be out of town, having a physical disability, being a college student or for reasons of employment. Full information on early early and absentee voting is available at www.SCVotes.org.

Turnout is expected to be exceptionally high on election day, Tuesday, November 8, so eligible voters who opt to vote early or by absentee ballot can help reduce lines at the polls.
