Local hurdler Jasmine Camacho-Quinn wins Olympic heat

Former Fort Dorchester track star Jasmine Camacho-Quinn has advanced to the semi-finals in the 100 meter high hurdles by winning her heat in 12.70 seconds. A dual citizen, Camacho-Quinn is representing Puerto Rico, her mother’s native country.

Camacho-Quinn won the event at the NCAA track championships this spring with a time of 12.54 seconds. Her brother, Robert Quinn, plays defensive line for the Los Angeles Rams.
