Brukes Coffee and Music at Old Towne Center, 1664 Old Towne Road, hosted West Ashley Cars and Coffee Sunday. The event showcases classic and custom cars and trucks. Among the notable vehicles on display were a Noble sports coup, a Mustang, a 1966 Ford F-100, and a Ford Model A truck.

It was the fifth such event hosted at the site. Brukes offers coffee and popular breakfast and lunch foods and doubles as a music shop. String instruments for sale line the walls there. There are two instrument practice rooms in the back, where people may try out a variety of string instruments or take music lessons. The shop is open Monday through Friday from 6 am to 4 pm and Saturdays from 8 am to 3 pm.

Brukes is also becoming a West Ashley cultural center. It has offered classes in swing dancing and ukelele strumming. There are plans to have local ensembles perform on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. A blood drive with The Blood Connection is scheduled at the site Saturday, February 15 from 10 am to 2 pm.
