The Children’s Museum of the Lowcountry will make Citadel Mall its temporary home, beginning Tuesday at 9 am. The non-profit museum is expected to complete renovations for its downtown site by March 1. Admissions for non-members is $5, half the normal price. The West Ashley location will also allow local residents to visit the museum with convenient free parking.
The museum, which was founded in 2003, is noted for its hands-on interactive displays. It places an emphasis on science education and Lowcountry and South Carolina history.
The temporary location at Citadel Mall is Center Court, near the Dippin Dots kiosk. The hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm and Sundays from noon to 5 pm.
