Trademark Properties, which has owned Citadel Mall since 2017, will make a presentation to the West Ashley Revitalization Commission (WARC) tonight at 6 near the mall’s Planet Fitness entrance. The group has applied to City of Charleston for an increase in zoning density. Charleston City Council will decide whether to change the mall’s zoning status from General Business to Planned Unit Development.

Among the development plans for West Ashley’s largest shopping center is the construction of five new buildings ranging from nine to 25 stories tall. The proposed EPIC Center would include 1.4 million square feet of office space, 600,000 square feet of retail, 275,000 square feet of medical facilities, 500 hotel rooms and 1000 condominium and apartment units.

The WARC will also receive a presentation on the recently-completed Dupont Wappoo drainage study. The meeting will include a public comment period.
