Community leaders are speaking out against anti-Semitism Sunday at 4 pm at Emanu-El Synagogue, 5 Windsor Drive in West Ashley. The No Hate, No Fear Solidarity Rally[1] is sponsored by the Charleston Jewish Federation and the Jewish Relations Council of Greater Charleston. The rally is in response to anti-Semitic inspired attacks on Jews in other parts of the United States and in Europe.

Organizers stated, “We are calling on community leaders and citizens of all backgrounds to join us. In times like these, we need to take action and send a clear message to policy makers and civic leaders that fighting anti-Semitism is their solemn duty.”

The confirmed speakers are Charleston Mayor John Tecklenburg, Charleston Police Chief Luther Reynolds, State Senator Sandy Senn, and State Representative Wendell Gilliard. The event is open to the public.
