The St. Andrews Constituent School District 10 Board of Trustees (D10) will meet Thursday, June 8 at 6:00 p.m. at the St. Andrews campus media center. The board has several important items to discuss that impact the West Ashley area. The board is considering changing the start time at West Ashley High School to 8:30 a.m., which would have a big impact on morning traffic in West Ashley.

Another item on the agenda is a motion to send a letter to the Charleston County School Board to restore the hiring, transferring, and firing authority of principals to the County School Board rather than ceding it to the Superintendent. This letter is identical to the one sent from the Constituent School District 2 Board in Mt. Pleasant.

Other items on the agenda are requests for the improved school bus transportation for West Ashley students who attend downtown magnet schools and setting attendance lines for C. E. Williams Middle School and West Ashley Middle School for the 2018-2019 school year, based on the east-west boundary of I-526.
