Supplies for Hurricane Florence victims in Eastern North Carolina are being collected until 7 pm today in Suite 2011 (second floor) at Harrell Square, 2000 Sam Rittenberg Boulevard. That is the campaign office for 1st Congressional District candidate Katie Arrington. Arrington’s husband Rob has relatives in the damage zone. State Representative Lin Bennett is also collecting relief supplies at her 231 North Ainsdale Drive home in the Shadowmoss subdivision. Her father also lives in the impacted area.

Among the items needed are bottled water, non–perishable food, and supplies for babies, cleaning supplies, and first aid materials. While the Lowcountry was not damaged by the storm, Florence caused significant flooding in between Fayetteville and Wilmington, North Carolina, as well as South Carolina’s Grand Strand region.

Supplies will also be collected at two Summerville locations – Coastal Coffee Roasters, 108 East 3rd North Street, and RLA Associates, 2204 Bacon’s Bridge Road. They will be driven to Fayetteville tomorrow morning.
