Poll workers needed for early voting in Charleston County

The Charleston County Board of Elections and Voter Registration (BEVR) is in need of poll workers for in-person early (or absentee) voting at four polling places before the November 3 Election Day. Voting will take place from Monday, October 5 through Monday, November 2 at North Charleston Coliseum, 5000 Coliseum Drive, Convention Hall E. Polling places at Seacoast Church Mt. Pleasant (750 Long Point Road), Seacoast Church West Ashley (2049 Savannah Highway), and Charleston County Main Library (58 Calhoun Street) will operate from Monday, October 19 through Monday, November 2. Poll workers will receive $11.50 per hour and work from 8 am to 5 pm.

Those interested in serving as early voting poll workers may contact BEVR employee Isaac Cramer at 843-974-6420 or apply on-line. Training will be available in person or on-line. Poll workers are also needed for the November 3 Election Day at the normal polling places. Registered voters may also request absentee ballots by mail by calling 843-744-8683.
